at 1,000' on 10.5 acre Huahua Farm ~ on the slopes of Hualalai Mountain.
HAND PICKED
of course. We pick only the red, ripe berries, one by one.
PULPED
to remove the red, fleshy pulp from the coffee bean inside.
SUN-DRIED
on racks under the tropical Kona sun. When it does rain, we race out to cover the drying coffee.
STORED
in a climate-controlled environment. At this stage, the beans have a thin covering called parchment allowing them to be stored for months.
MILLED
using our new mill to remove the parchment from the coffee bean. Now the green bean is ready for roasting.
ROASTED
as we receive orders so the coffee is always fresh when we ship to our customers.
PACKAGED
in foil bags with one-way valves to retain that just-roasted freshness.
